Year 2
Welcome to Year 2
Hello and welcome back to the Summer term. We will be updating this class page regularly with pictures, links and information about what we have been getting up to in class.
This term Year 2 will completing the end of KS1 standardised assessment tests (SATs). The results of these assessments will be used inform our overall end of year judgements, which will be included in your child’s summer report.
As a culmination of our year in school, our class will visit the Airbus Discovery Centre on Thursday 20th July. More details to follow.
Our PE day is Tuesday, so do come into school dressed for outdoor PE on this day. Home learning continues to focus on reading a minimum of 3 x per week at home with an adult signature, 20 minutes of NumBots for all children in class and spellings. These will be given out on a Friday and tested the following Friday. Spellings will be in everyone's reading record. If you are not in school on a Friday do remember to ask when you are back in school.
Throughout each week we will be continually searching for our Shephalbury Learner and Bucket Filler so do read Mr Conway's blog to find out our awardees.
