Sports Week 2022

Sports Week Begins!

Monday saw a fantastic start to our week as we were visited by former 400m Commonwealth Gold Medalist, Adrian Patrick. He gave a fantastic presentation where he explained how he got into running and how focused he needed to be to succeed. During the day, he worked with all of our classes to ensure they got the chance to practice their running ahead of Sports Day! Adrian was a fantastic role model and the children really enjoyed the sessions.

We also began our Sports Week events with our Field Events. It was a close run thing, but all children across the school took part in the long jump. triple jump, javelin, target throw and tennis ball throw. Our older children took part in the Shot Put instead of the tennis ball in preparation for secondary school! The winning team for the day won by just 1 point - a tremendous effort from our children. Well done!
