SHEPHALBURY PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL ADMISSIONS POLICY TO THE NURSERY 2024
Eligibility A child will be eligible for admission to the nursery class from the start of the autumn term after they turn three years old. Admission is subject to an application being made and places being available. A child will be eligible for 30 hours if they meet the criteria as set down by the department for education. Parents and carers will be expected to demonstrate their eligibility termly, using the official website. A code will be issued and this will need to be given to the school so that they can claim the entitlement, if this is not submitted on time you will be responsible for the charge incurred.
Capacity
The nursery has capacity to accommodate 30 children:
15 hours of free education over 5 mornings - 8:45- 11:45
or
30 hours free education 8:45- 3:05- this equates to 6 hours 20 per day total of 31 hours and 20mins
Application process
From October 2018 Stevenage schools will be allocating on a first come first serve basis for entry into the nursery class.
Applications open on the 2nd October 2023
An application will need to be emailed to admin@shephalburypark.herts.sch.uk the application form can be found at the top of this page. Once this has been received you will get an email from the school informing you if you have a place at the nursery or if you are on the waiting list.
If you have been allocated a space but no longer require it, please inform the school so that this is available for others.
