Year 3

Welcome to our Year 3 class page.  Our adults are Mrs Levy, Mrs Spiller and Miss Headley.  We are so excited for this year and have been working hard to make our classroom a lovely place to learn.  Our class book is called 'Incredible You'- remember that you are incredible and can do incredible things!

Our PE day will be on a Friday.

Spellings

We will have our spelling quiz on a Tuesday.  You will be given spellings to practice at home. Please bring your spelling sheets back to school with you on a Tuesday.  You can find the spellings for each week here if you lose them!

Reading Buddy class

We are very excited to share that we are reading buddies with Nursery. Every week for 10-20 minutes we will buddy up with the Nursery children for a reading session. This will involve us sharing stories and reading with the younger children. We are very excited! Watch this space for photos.

Our Timetable

WOW moments will be shared on a Friday. These are meaningful items or achievements that children would like to share with the rest of the class. Tell us by Friday morning if you have something to share.

Reading Buddies

Each week, 5 of you will be chosen to bring home a reading buddy over the weekend. Our reading buddies love being read to!  Perhaps you could take a photo of you and your buddy reading together and ask your adult to send it to our year 3 email?

Curriculum information

WRE

In WRE this week we learnt all about the Sikh temple, the Gurdwara. We learnt about the different features and then created our own out of Lego.

PSHE

In PSHE we have been looking at relationships. We began by thinking about the relationships that we have and learning that all positive relationships have mutual respect, love and trust in common. We then thought about the features of a positive family life and drew real life examples.

English

In English we worked together in groups to read and follow a set of unfamiliar instructions. Poor Little Red Riding Hood had dropped the basket of cakes on the way to Grandma's house and needed help decorating some more!
