Our Vision

Our vision is to be a supportive, compassionate community. We value every child as an individual. We aim for all children to reach their potential in an environment where they are happy and secure as part of the 'Shephalbury family'. 

In our school family, we want every child to have ambitious aspirations and believe in themselves. We want them to experience a rich curriculum, full of opportunities which reflect that ambition and gives them the tools to flourish in life. 

Our passion is for developing the 'whole child'. This is so they can be independent, critical thinkers. It is important for them to be problem solvers, and to build connections. They should benefit from strong and lasting relationships.

We want them to have high expectations of themselves. Growth Mindsets and our Shephalbury L.E.A.R.N.E.R. values reflect our intention that every child will develop resilience, and know they can do hard things. 

Our children learn about tolerance and respect. We want them to be prepared for life in modern Britain, and a future which is forever bringing changes and challenges. Their views help to shape their experiences, so they learn to be active citizens within our community and beyond.

The future is unknown. The jobs they might aspire to may not have been invented yet. We want our children to be adaptable and optimistic in all they do.
