This week in English, we used lollipop sticks to retell the story of Little Red Riding Hood. We then used this to retell the story, but from the wolf’s point of view. This concluded our first unit of narrative writing. We will be moving onto instruction writing next week!
This week, we welcomed the children back into the classroom. We have already had an assembly about our new club, Spaghetti Maths. We hope to see some of you there!
We have also started our learning in English and maths and this afternoon, we began our Topic on Ancient Egypt. Have a lovely weekend!
I hope you have had a fabulous summer and you have fully recharged the batteries. There are many things to look forward to this term, including our topic about Ancient Egypt, exciting stories and BRAND NEW clubs!
Our PE day is a Tuesday. Remember, you should wear your PE kit to school!
Our spelling test will be a Friday morning, so make sure you practice them throughout the week. Home learning also includes reading 3x per week and 30 minutes of Times Table Rockstars.
Mrs McKenzie is our Teaching Assistant and we will also have Mrs Bond joining us each day for maths, as well as some afternoons!
Finally, please remember to bring your water bottle every day, and a snack (fruit or vegetables- this can be dried fruit as well as fresh fruit) if you wish.
We can’t wait to get started, and we hope you are excited too.
